Dog-Friendly Beaches in Connecticut



Fairfield - Dogs are allowed on leash from October 1 - March 31 on all Fairfield Beaches.  Off-leash is allowed on Jennings Beach.



Groton - Bluff Point State Park has a beach area that allows leashed dogs. 

Madison - Dogs are allowed at Hammonasset State Beach on leash from November 1 - April 1.

Westport - Dogs are allowed on Burying Hill Beach and Compo Beach from October 1 - March 31.  Compo has an off-leash area.

And don't forget the rules of petiquette!  Always pick up after your dog and if he's off-leash, make sure you have complete voice control.
