Time spent in nature is some of the richest time that dogs and people spend together. There is no shortage of places to hike, picnic, and enjoy outside fun in all seasons. Dogs are not allowed on the nearby Mount Monadnock but you can drive or hike to the summit of Pack Monadnock and enjoy a picnic.

Summer Concerts, Tilton
Enjoy free music every Sunday night in July and August in a really cool location. The concerts are on a small island in the middle of the Winnepesaukee River, accessible by a foot bridge.

Have a real winter adventure and try skijoring with your dog. All you need is Nordic skis and poles and a harness for your dog. The folks at New England Dog Sledding will hook you up (literally) with the rest. You know those times you're flying behind your running dog trying to hang on to the leash? It seems like that except on skis! If your dog isn't up to it, you can also take one of their huskies. Of course there's also dogsledding.
The Rocks Estate, Bethlehem
Stroll through this scenic and educational sanctuary and Christmas tree farm run by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.
Kancamangus Highway, Lincoln to Conway
One of the most spectacular, scenic rides anywhere, the road takes you through mountains and by rivers and scenic vistas. There are places to stop along the way and hike or picnic. It can be trafficy in the fall and a bit treacherous in spots when the snow flies.
Conway Scenic Railroad, North Conway, NH
Well-behaved and restrained dogs are allowed in train cars on the Conway Scenic Railroad. The Valley Train goes from North Conway to Conway and Bartlett while the Notch Train heads to Crawford and Fabyan Station.
Mt. Washington, Pinkham Notch
By car or by foot, climb to the top of New England's highest peak.
